Facials
Before Your Facial (Pre-Care)
Prepare your skin to get the most from your treatment:
• Arrive with a clean face — please avoid wearing makeup.
• Avoid exfoliating products, retinol, or strong acids for at least 48 hours before your
appointment.
• Stay hydrated — drinking water helps support detoxification and enhance results.
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning 24–48 hours prior.
• Let your therapist know if you’re using any prescription skincare or have had recent
cosmetic treatments (e.g., fillers, Botox, peels, or microneedling).
• Relax and allow extra time — facials work best when you’re calm and unhurried.
After Your Facial (Post-Care)
Support your skin’s healing and maximise your glow:
• Avoid touching your face or applying makeup for at least 24 hours.
• Skip exfoliation, retinol, or active ingredients for 2–3 days after treatment.
• Stay hydrated to help flush out toxins and maintain your skin’s balance.
• Avoid direct sunlight, saunas, or steam rooms for 48 hours.
• Use gentle, hydrating skincare — avoid harsh cleansers or scrubs.
• Apply SPF daily to protect your skin and prolong results.
• For advanced facials (Radio Frequency, High Frequency, LED), allow the skin to
rest before resuming your usual routine.
Lymphatic Drainage
Who Cannot Have This Treatment
While Lymphatic Drainage Massage is gentle and non-invasive, it is not suitable for
everyone. To ensure your safety and best results, you should avoid treatment if you:
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding (unless approved by your healthcare provider)
• Have had recent surgery (cosmetic, medical, or otherwise) — treatment can only be
performed once fully healed and cleared by your surgeon or GP
• Have active infections, skin irritations, or open wounds in the treatment area
• Have heart disease, circulatory disorders, or severe varicose veins
• Have uncontrolled high or low blood pressure
• Have kidney or liver disease
• Have a history of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or thrombophlebitis
• Have cancer, or are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy
• Have autoimmune conditions (such as lupus or multiple sclerosis) — only with GP
approval
• Have severe oedema or lymphatic issues linked to a medical condition (these must be
treated under medical supervision)
• Have a fever, flu, or active infection
• Are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs at the time of treatment
As a non-medical practitioner, treatments are designed for wellness, relaxation, and detoxification purposes only, not for post-surgical or medical lymphatic drainage. Clients recovering from surgery must seek care from a qualified medical or post-operative specialist.
A full consultation will be carried out before your first session to ensure the treatment is safe and suitable for you. If you have doubt please contact us before booking as refunds will not be given if a medical issue is not reported or discussed prior to treatment that would hinder the treatment from going ahead.
Before Your Treatment (Pre-Care)
To prepare your body for treatment and maximise results:
1. Hydration
• Drink plenty of water in the 48 hours before your appointment — aim for at least
1.5–2 litres per day.
• Proper hydration helps the lymphatic system work efficiently and supports the
detoxification process.
2. Lifestyle
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and heavy meals for 24 hours before treatment, as these can
slow lymphatic flow and increase water retention.
• Avoid intense exercise, saunas, or steam rooms on the day of your appointment.
• Please arrive with clean, product-free skin (no lotions or oils).
3. Medical & Suitability
• Inform your therapist of any changes to your health or medications since your last
session.
• This treatment is not suitable after recent surgery, or for clients with medical
lymphoedema, heart conditions, cancer, or severe circulatory disorders.
• A consultation will be carried out before your first session to ensure it is safe and
suitable for you.
After Your Treatment (Post-Care)
Following your Lymphatic Drainage Massage, you may feel lighter, more relaxed, and notice an increase in urination — this is a normal sign that your body is releasing excess fluid and toxins.
To support your results:
1. Hydration
• Continue to drink plenty of water for at least 48–72 hours after your treatment to
help your body flush out toxins and waste.
2. Lifestyle
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and processed or salty foods for 24–48 hours after
treatment to prevent fluid retention.
• Engage in light activity such as walking to support lymphatic flow.
• Avoid hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours, as excess heat can cause
dehydration.
• Allow your body to rest and recover — gentle stretching and deep breathing can help
maintain results.
3. Skin Care
• Keep the skin clean and avoid applying heavy lotions or oils for the rest of the day.
• You may experience mild redness or warmth in the skin — this should subside within
a few hours.
For Best Results
• For general wellbeing and detox, book a session every 2–4 weeks.
• For contouring, bloating, or fluid retention, a course of 4–6 weekly sessions is
recommended.
• Maintain a healthy diet, hydration, and regular exercise to prolong results.
• Combine with treatments such as sauna blanket therapy or pressotherapy for
enhanced detoxification and body contouring benefits.
Important Notes
• This treatment is designed for wellness, detoxification, and relaxation, not for post
surgical or medical lymphatic drainage.
• Results vary depending on hydration, lifestyle, and frequency of sessions.
• Always follow your therapist’s tailored advice for the safest and most effective
outcome.

Pre and Post aftercare
Face Creams & Products to Avoid Before Radio Frequency Treatments
To ensure your skin is safe and responsive during treatment, please avoid the following for at least 3–5 days before your appointment:
- Retinol (Vitamin A) – including prescription-strength Retinoids (e.g. Retin-A,
Tretinoin) and over-the-counter Retinol creams. These increase skin sensitivity and can cause irritation or redness when exposed to heat.
- AHA / BHA Exfoliants – such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, or salicylic acid. These can thin the outer layer of the skin, making it more reactive to RF heat.
- Benzoyl Peroxide – commonly found in acne treatments; it can cause dryness or irritation when combined with RF energy.
- Strong Vitamin C Serums – especially those with high concentrations or acidic formulations, as they can sensitise the skin.
- Hydroquinone or Skin-Lightening Creams – can make the skin more reactive and prone to post-treatment pigmentation.
- Topical Steroids or Anti-Inflammatory Creams – may interfere with your skin’s normal response and healing process.
- Self-tanning products – should also be avoided 48 hours before treatment to prevent uneven heating or pigmentation.
What You Can Use Instead
In the days leading up to your treatment, stick to gentle, hydrating skincare such as:
• A mild cleanser
• A soothing, non-active moisturiser (e.g. hyaluronic acid, ceramides, aloe vera)
• SPF during the day
Before Your Treatment (Pre-Care)
To prepare your skin and body for treatment:
1. Skin Preparation
• Avoid applying active skincare ingredients such as retinol, AHA/BHA acids, vitamin
C, or exfoliants for at least 3–5 days before your treatment.
• Do not use self-tanning products or have sun exposure or sunbeds for at least 48 hours
before your appointment.
• Keep the skin clean — avoid applying makeup, oils, or heavy creams on the day of
treatment.
• If you are using prescription skincare or acne medication, please inform your therapist
before treatment.
2. Hydration & Lifestyle
• Drink plenty of water in the 48 hours leading up to your treatment to support healthy
skin and lymphatic flow.
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 24 hours before treatment, as these can
dehydrate the skin and reduce effectiveness.
• Eat light and avoid large or fatty meals right before your appointment.
• Avoid any other heat-based treatments (such as saunas, steam, or laser) for 24 hours
prior.
3. Medical Considerations
• Inform your therapist if you have any new medical conditions, metal implants,
pacemakers, or medications since your last visit.
• A sensitivity (patch) test may be carried out 24–48 hours prior to your first session if
you’re a new client or have sensitive skin.
After Your Treatment (Post-Care)
After your Radio Frequency treatment, your skin may feel slightly warm, flushed, or tight — this is normal and should settle within a few hours.
To support healing and maximise your results:
1. Skin Care
• Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying heat to the treated area for 24 hours.
• Do not apply makeup, heavy creams, or active skincare ingredients (retinol, acids,
vitamin C) for at least 24–48 hours post-treatment.
• Use a gentle, hydrating cleanser and a soothing moisturiser such as aloe vera,
hyaluronic acid, or ceramides.
• Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, as skin may be more sensitive to the sun.
2. Lifestyle
• Avoid saunas, hot baths, steam rooms, or vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours, as heat
can irritate the skin.
• Keep the area cool and avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours.
• Continue to stay hydrated — drink at least 2 litres of water per day for the next few
days.
• Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24–48 hours, as they can dehydrate the skin and slow
recovery.
3. For Optimal Results
• A course of 6–8 treatments, spaced 1–2 weeks apart, is recommended for the best
outcome.
• Maintenance sessions every 2–3 months can help prolong firmness and skin quality.
• Combine with lymphatic drainage or LED therapy for enhanced results.
• Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including balanced nutrition, hydration, and good
skincare, to support long-term collagen production.
A consultation is required before treatment can commence
The consultation is free and must be carried out 48 hours prior to treatment. We will perform a patch test for a couple of minutes and then ask you to observe to ensure no adverse reactions.
Important Notes
• This is a non-surgical rejuvenation treatment, not a replacement for surgical lifting.
• Results vary depending on age, lifestyle, skin condition, and number of treatments
completed.
• Always follow your therapist’s tailored advice for the safest and most effective
outcome.
HIFU – High Intensity Focused Ultrasound
Before Your Treatment (Pre-Care)
To ensure your skin is in the best condition and achieve optimal results:
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours before treatment, unless prescribed.
- Refrain from alcohol and caffeine on the day of your appointment to help minimise swelling.
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 1 week prior.
- Don’t schedule injectables, chemical peels, or laser treatments on the same area within 2 weeks before HIFU.
- Arrive with clean skin — no makeup, SPF, lotions, or oils.
- Stay well hydrated before and after your treatment; hydration supports collagen formation and lymphatic drainage.
After Your Treatment (Post-Care)
HIFU results develop gradually as your skin regenerates collagen, so care afterward is key to healing and outcome:
- You may experience mild redness, warmth, or swelling — this usually subsides within a few hours to 1–2 days.
- Avoid heat-based treatments (sauna, steam, hot baths) and intense exercise for 48–72 hours.
- Do not use exfoliating products, active acids, or retinol for 3–5 days.
- Keep skin hydrated and protected — use a gentle cleanser, soothing moisturiser, and broad-spectrum SPF daily.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 48 hours; both can slow collagen regeneration.
- For body HIFU, support lymphatic drainage by drinking plenty of water and consider light massage or pressotherapy to help flush out broken-down fat cells.
- Do not schedule other aesthetic procedures (fillers, Botox, microneedling, RF, etc.) on the same area for at least 2 weeks.
